The Backpacker Planet Board
The Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships
Purpose
The North Luzon Sustainable Development Partnership of Isla Pilipinas combines citizen leadership with the research and education resources to foster long term sustainability in the northern regions of Luzon, with particular attention focusing on agriculture, natural resources, and tourism.
The partnership operates under the following three principles:
- Active Citizenship - Local citizen participation in designing and implementing projects in the region.
- Sustainable Development - Addressing issues according to sustainable development principles.
- University Involvement - A rich relationship between the citizens and their Universities.
The Board of Directors envisions a sustainable future for the region and supports targeted projects to achieve this vision. Funding for the Partnership is provided by you - tourists and friends who in one way or another have explored the countryside and experienced the rich culture, traditions and sites we have in North Philippines.
The Board of Adventurer's
History
Isla Pilipinas was formed out of a need...the need to skillfully promote the best Philippines sites including the culture, arts, traditions and cuisine.
The Board of Adventurer's is composed of outspoken supporters of Philippine tourism and have deep love for our country - despite the fact that most of them are foreigners.
"We saw the need and we decided to take it upon ourselves to offer the most inexpensive tour packages we could offer the budget concious traveler," Migs Bennett says enthusiastically.
"The next few days of website construction will be crucial for us and we hope you stand by because we promise you more than just lip service. We promise you the best tours available to date."
So stick around and hope you surf on in again when our site is finally launched.
MABUHAY!
